Your details, used only to do the work.

vslSafety (vslsafety.com) coordinates marine safety inspections and equipment servicing for ship owners and managers through independent service providers. We are responsible for the details you give us on this website.

Quote requests and enquiries. Your company, name, email, phone number (if you give it), the vessel, port, service and dates, and what you write in the message.

Customer accounts. Your company, name, email and phone, and what you add in the portal: vessels, certificates, documents, voyages, quote requests and messages. Team members you invite are added with their name and email.

Service provider accounts. Your company, contact person, email, phone, the services, ports and certifications you list, and your quotes and job messages.

Sign-in with Google. If you choose Continue with Google, Google tells us only your name, your email address and your Google account number, so we can recognise you next time. We never get access to your Gmail, contacts, files or anything else in your Google account, and we never get your Google password.

Sign-ins. When you sign in we note the time, and the country, device type and browser it came from, to keep accounts safe.

To answer your enquiry, prepare quotes, arrange and follow up the work, run your account, send the emails that go with it (such as quote updates and certificate expiry reminders), and keep the website safe from spam and misuse. We don't use your details for anything else, and we don't send marketing to people who haven't asked for it.

Sign-in cookie. One cookie keeps you signed in and protects our forms. During a Google sign-in a short-lived cookie (10 minutes) remembers where you started.

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. It uses cookies and gives us totals, not your name.

Our own visit counter and page tests. We also count visits with our own tool, which uses no cookies, and sometimes test two versions of a page to see which works better.

Spam check. The quote form may use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots.

Only the independent service providers needed to quote for or carry out your job get the details of that request. We also use a few companies that run parts of the service for us (web hosting, email delivery, and the analytics and spam check above), only for that purpose.

We never sell your details, and we never share them for anyone else's marketing.

Account details are kept while your account is open. Enquiries, quotes and job records are kept as long as we need them for the work and for our business and tax records. When you close your account or ask us to, we delete what we no longer have to keep.

Email info@vslsafety.com from the address you use with us and tell us what you'd like: a copy of your details, a correction, or deletion. We'll reply as soon as we can.

If you signed in with Google, you can also remove vslSafety from your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/connections.
