Regulatory context

Fire doors and dampers are frequent inspection items because everyday use, corrosion, modifications, and poor hold-open practices can defeat them. Repairs must preserve the approved rating and construction. Materials, seals, insulation systems, and penetration products should be approved for the exact boundary and installed according to their approval documentation.

Identify asbestos controls, hot-work restrictions, accommodation access, and whether approved spare doors, actuators, seals, insulation, or penetration kits are onboard. Final closure remains with the issuing authority; clear before-and-after evidence and traceable materials help that review proceed efficiently.
