in Italy.

Plan inspection, testing, certification, or repair attendance at the major commercial ports listed below.

Arrange ism, isps & mlc audits and pre-psc inspection in Italy

vslSafety coordinates marine service requests around the vessel’s port call, equipment scope, required attendance date, and applicable flag, class, maker, or competent-person requirements. Provide the exact port and terminal because access, transport, permits, workshop collection, and available service time can vary between locations.

Management-system audits and inspection readiness

Ships are inspected against overlapping statutory, company, charterer, and vetting requirements. A structured independent review can find implementation gaps before an external auditor, Port State Control officer, SIRE 2.0 inspector, or RightShip assessor boards. The service can be delivered onboard, remotely for documents, or as a combined review, with findings mapped to the relevant requirement and prioritised for closure.

Available audit scopes

  • ISM Code internal ship audit and safety-management-system implementation review
  • ISPS Code internal security audit, records review, drills, access control, and Ship Security Plan implementation checks
  • Maritime Labour Convention accommodation, records, employment, welfare, hours of rest, and complaint-process review
  • Pre-PSC inspection using regional deficiency trends and the vessel’s age, type, flag, class, and history
  • SIRE 2.0, TMSA, RightShip, charterer, or terminal readiness and close-out support

Independence and certification boundaries

ISM Code section 12 calls for internal audits at intervals not exceeding twelve months, subject to permitted exceptions. ISPS and MLC programmes have their own company, flag, and recognised-organisation requirements. A readiness review does not issue or endorse statutory certificates and cannot guarantee an inspection result. Where the audit must satisfy a formal internal-audit requirement, auditor competence and independence should be confirmed with the company and administration before appointment.

Plan a useful review

Send vessel particulars, flag, class, trading pattern, target inspection or audit, previous PSC and vetting reports, open findings, SMS index, certificate status, crew list, and available time onboard. Agree whether the deliverable is a confidential gap report, formal internal-audit report, corrective-action plan, crew workshop, or verification visit. Findings should identify objective evidence, the requirement, risk, responsible owner, and realistic due date so they can generate action rather than another unchecked report.
